I am starting to feel so much better since I have started back making Smarter Food Choices. I love making my own Protein Shakes, which on yesterday September 23rd I had one for lunch and one for dinner. I added a teaspoon of peanut butter to them both. I just wanted to have that fruit sugar feeling since I am not eating my sweets that I used to eat daily.
My eating habits have to be meat that is not fried. I don't want to eat meat everyday though. I also try to eat beans a few times a week in the place of meat and sometimes protein shakes for protein. I am learning what works for my body.
Eating close to 75% Daniel Fast Foods seem to keep me grounded. I like to eat unsalted nuts, whole grains, vegetables, fruits, almond milk, meat sparingly, beans, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, little decaf coffee from Wawa with hazelnut cream and 1 spoon of sugar for my Go To Treats. Salads from Saladworks.
The key for me thus far is to Stay Focused on the prize or goal ahead. I have to tell myself daily that I am worth it. I wear a Walk Fit watch to keep track of my walking steps because getting around is important too so you don't become lazy.
I am finding out that my breathing is starting to get a little better when I walk up and down the stair steps in my home and at my daughters home. That is telling me that my Cardiovascular Health is improving, Thank you Jesus for helping me to stay focused on what matters most. I am important and I matter.
Getting control of my sugar addiction is a hard thing but I am doing it one day at a time. Cookies, cakes, pies, candy, ice cream and my favorite Rita's Water Ice I can't believe that I am giving up. It is a Great Sacrifice, but my health is Most Important to me. I am age 59 now so I have to be very serious about my Health.
Thank you all for following my Health and Weight Loss Story. May the Lord help others to learn from my Journey and apply any tips and knowledge to your life of what matters most.
