I am starting to love just plane old eating at least 50% less carbs and sugar instead of counting all of my carbs and sugars.
I'm eating more tuna with some cheese at times with lettuce, tomatoes, onion and a little ranch dressing. Hidden Valley Ranch has only 2 Carbs per serving. Remember I am not doing any more than just cutting down on carbs and sugars. I am not doing Keto at all.
I'm making sure that my plate has more protein and veggies and less carbs on it. I also try to not eat the breads that they put out. I am just working on it and it is helping on the scale. I see progress after this 3rd week of writing down what I eat and examining my carbs. I am starting to love it more but if I want a carb, I don't feel bad because it is still less and a treat instead of loads of carbs daily.
I am definitely eating more fruits and frozen yogurt in the place of butter pecan ice cream which I love. It is even helping my sinuses by not eating much ice cream anymore, but cutting back is the key for me and not eliminating everything entirely which is only setting me up to binge on sweets.
I am so happy that I am not eating hardly any cakes, pies, cookies, candy. If I want any I just taste it instead of eating a whole piece. I'm getting better at what type of sugars I eat. I try not to have much liquid sugary juices, and eliminating soda almost entirely. I am really improving and it makes me feel good.
One thing that I am focusing on too is these fat thighs. They definitely need work. I have a ways to go with my body, but if you think before you act, you will definitely not overeat or eat a lot of empty calories.
I just celebrated my Wedding Anniversary on June 26th, 2022. Been married for 12 years now and together for 14 years against all odds. He said he wasn't going anywhere and he hasn't. Nothing is easy. You have to work on it daily. I am just determined that as I age gracefully, I as well have to take better care of my health.
